Bret recently returned from his month-long cultural-exchange visit to the Middle-East as a guest of the US State Dept, during which he managed to get in several days of photographing deep in the “Empty Quarter” desert of Northwest Oman.

August 29-September 24 , Curtis Olson: Mandalas

In his new series of textural wall pieces, Curtis Olson iterates an ancient, simple form to create works of multi-hued vibrancy and symbolic complexity. Olson says that among other concepts, the series was inspired by Native American medicine wheels and dance shields, 1970s sunset t-shirts and album covers, modernist color field paintings, and Buddhist thought. The Exhibition continues through September 25th.

Kimball Art Center

Relevant is on display through October 26 in the Main Gallery.

Over the past four summers, Kimball Art Center hosted an artist-in-residence program called RELEVANT, that brought together a select group of talented art students from across the country to be mentored by nationally recognized professional artists.

The Kimball showcases the work of past RELEVANT artists and mentors from the classes of 2010 through 2013 in the Main Gallery.

American Travels: Paintings by Greta Van Campen are on display in the Garage Gallery through Sept 21st.

Street Art is on display in the Badami Gallery through September 19th.

LAST FRIDAY GALLERY STROLL


gallery stroll

On the last Friday of each month, from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m., members of the Park City Gallery Association offer a unique showcase highlighting artists, special exhibits and art events.

The Gallery Stroll is a free community event that gives locals and Park City visitors alike the opportunity to enjoy light refreshments while exploring Park City’s exciting art scene.
