Kimball Art Center

We have many new spring classes available: Please click here to view the latest class schedule.

We are proud to focus on women artists during the month of March!

100% Women: 4 Women To Watch takes inspiration from the Guerrilla Girls and other activist artists calling attention to gender inequality in the art world. The Guerrilla Girls use statistics to illustrate the lack of women artists shown in museums and galleries. The Kimball Art Center strives to show acclaimed artwork regardless of gender, however we are happy to share this statistic as our galleries will feature women artists in three exhibitions about human communication from now through mid April.

Out of Sight/In the Mind—collaborative drawings by Salt Lake artists Bonnie Sucec and Susan Beck, Main Gallery, February 13-April 12

Lost in Translation… by Sandra Doore, Badami Gallery, February 27-April 12

Celebrate performance artists with the movie BORN TO FLY: Elizabeth Streb vs. Gravity presented in conjunction with the Park City Film Series.

Thursday, March 12th. Movie begins at 7:00 pm. This screening is FREE to the public.

Prospector Theatre, 2175 Sidewinder Drive, Park City UT 84060

The artists will lead a casual tour to discuss their collaborative practiceSpace is limited but the event is FREE. Please RSVP here

Kimball Clay (Kimball Art Center ceramic studio) will feature an open studio every Friday from 1:00 – 6:00 pm free for all ages. You dream it and we will help you make it!

Thomas Kearns McCarthey Gallery

We are pleased to be featuring an exhibition of new works by one of our few non-Russian artists, Ken Spencer.

Mr. Spencer is an avid plein-air painter who thrives on the challenges and joys of painting under the skies in nature.

Ken recently traveled to France, Italy and the Czech Republic to paint on location and many of the new works in the exhibition are a result of these travels.

Ken Spencer, a native of Northern Utah, currently resides in Blackfoot, Idaho. He has exhibited his work throughout the United States, won numerous awards and been featured in Southwest Art Magazine's "Artists to Watch", SkyWest Magazine and in American Art Collector Magazine.
